Mr Henry's Performing Arts Academy

Henry had started his own performing arts academy and needed a brand that felt expressive, fun and full of his character. We talked about what he wanted the academy to teach, what he hoped the children would discover, and what mattered most to him about working with young people.

One thing stood out: confidence.

For Henry, success wasn't simply about teaching children how to perform. It was about helping them find the confidence to speak up, take up space and believe in themselves.

That became the starting point for the brand. I wanted the identity to feel like a visual expression of confidence itself, while still speaking to two very different audiences: the children who would experience the classes and the parents choosing them.

Through refinement, the identity grew into something playful but considered. A custom font based on Henry's handwriting brought his personality into the brand. Bright pinks, blues and yellows created an energetic colour palette. Doodles introduced a sense of play, while speech bubbles became a visual nod to confidence, conversation and finding your voice.

The result was a complete brand identity, from the logo and personal font through to social templates, colour and supporting brand assets.

It felt unmistakably like Henry, while communicating what he wanted his students to gain from the academy.

The academy launched with 100% of classes filled, and almost all students returned for the second semester. Parents even commented on how closely the brand reflected Henry himself — which felt like a pretty good sign that we'd found the right story.
