Magnet Autos

Marc, Managing Director of Magnet Autos, came to me wanting to give the family business a little modern boost. The business had been passed down through generations, originally founded by his grandad, so there was a lot of history worth keeping.

What started as a request to level up an existing flyer quickly became a conversation about the brand itself. The challenge was finding a way to make Magnet Autos feel more current and innovative, without losing the connection to where it came from.

The original logo was a big part of that story, so rather than replacing it, we kept it as close to his grandad's version as possible and adapted the layout into responsive versions that could work across web, print and social — things that didn't quite exist in 1978!

The modernisation could then happen through the rest of the brand. Technical services became easier to understand through iconography, photography was chosen with the customers Marc wanted to attract next in mind, and the layouts became sharper and easier to read.

The result felt ready for 2025 and beyond, while still paying homage to 1978. Marc felt confident pushing the business into its next phase, and recently won 2026 Fleet Garage of the Year, the goal he had in mind when we started bringing the brand up to the next level.
